When you are trying to achieve a goal, you focus on that thing you want, and your energy calls in all the things to help get that goal. Often though, you push and push to get what you want but things seem to stall or get stuck. You wonder why you can’t get what you want and you keep pushing towards it or holding onto how you wish things would turn out. And this is where surrendering comes in.
Surrendering isn’t giving up nor is it weak. It also is not just sitting around and waiting. It is about letting go of the things outside of your control. Opening to a higher energy to provide answers and show you the way. This requires trust and vulnerability to let go of control of how to do something and the exact outcome.
You aren’t always aware of all the possible outcomes to what you are looking to achieve. Sometimes there is something much better for you out there and if you are forcing yourself down a certain path you will miss this other thing. You also can’t see the shortest path to your desire as you think it has to follow a certain chain of events but really when you are fully aligned to what you want it can come to you instantly.
If you feel like you are forcing or over-doing something then that is when to move into a state of surrender. To practice this, you can imagine yourself working on the thing you want and as you plan out how to do it you stop and sitting with palms up, open your heart and ask to receive the best path forward. You can ask Source or your guides and angels– whatever you call or believe in as a higher power.
Feel your energy shift from an active state to a receiving state— learn to feel the difference in this energetic state.
When you find yourself pushing hard to do something that isn’t working, pause and refocus. Then you stop to shift the energy and acknowledge you don’t know the best way forward and are open to receiving guidance, inspiration to move forward.
From there you need to be present to catch the signs or inspirational thoughts as they pop in. Learning to listen to your intuition as it keeps nudging you towards something. This may take practice but understanding and feeling the energy around it so you can find new ways of achieving your goals.
